Peace within

It is hard to find peace in this lifetime, there is no knowing exactly when or where to find it. In fact, I think that even if you find Peace in one place, you won't be able to find it there again. In order to find inner peace, of any kind, one must clear their mind from all worries and concerns. This is a main reason why no one can find inner peace, because we are all worried about school, work, family, etc. There is no time to even consider finding peace within oneself. If we were to take into consideration all the time that we have spent for ourselves, we would come to realize that the time we spent was meant for others, either working for them, worryying about their health, etc. We could never really find time for ouselves. If someone thinks mostly of themselves in a selfish act, you come to see that they are not at peace either becasuse they had developed a major concern that people are judging them or they beg from other people. I think that the only time we can find inner peace is 6 feet under, only because that is the time that you take to reflect on your life, and you no longer have to worry about those things that had troubled your mind. The way that this society has grown to be, it had changed many times, and soon enough work and an education became very important in our lives, we become frustrated with that. And if we're too poot to get a job or education, we must worry about our survival or that no athority would take us away. Inner Peace isn't that easy to find, and yet it's closer than we all think. Even a few minutes if reflection, a dream perhaps, if our minds no longer have any concers that trouble us, then it would be easier to find Inner Peace within oneself.

Stand Up!- Don't stand up for homophobic bullying

Homophobic- Intense hatred or fear of homosexuals or homosexuality.

The clip shown was meant to help the homosexuals from overcoming their fear about their preferences. Since the beginning, it was strongly believed that woman was created for the sole purpose of becoming the man's significant other and for intimate desires, that only a man and a woman can marry and be together. This has been thrown into the minds of many generations, so what if they see something different than what is believe should be the 'right thing'? So many come to bully or show a strong dislike to those that are different because of the way the idea was planted in their mind. This video showed a perfect example of a homosexual  being bullied because of something he could not help from feeling. It also comes to show the other defense, you don't have to be homosexual in order to support those who are, one can not judge someone because of "the way they look" or what they prefer. People need to be standing up to what they believe, they must take action and help those who can't stand up for themselve or are to weak or scared and take up the bullying. We don't need to stand for those who hate, there's no need to judge their preferences.

Death is a known reality in the world that we could never rid ourselves from. We have to learn to accept and adapt to it, even though we see it almost every day, we haven’t learned to let go of those who no longer tie their lives into this world. We try to live our lives, and we are affected by those who live and yet also those who left, inspiring to live on or living by their beliefs.
Osama Bin Laden, captured and killed by the Navy Seals, has been dead for over 2 days now. He was held responsible for 3,000 deaths during the plane crash of 9/11. And despite the fact that we have only been informed at such short time, despite all this celebrating of his death throughout the U.S, is it really crucial to hold on to this much excitement, to be happy? Will all this joyous commotion cause the people in Al Qaeda to be filled with more rage and hatred towards America, and to take action in what Bin Laden believes in, which is to rid of and have a strong dislike towards America? Will we ever see the light of day, the time when all is free and our minds are cleared from the many misunderstandings of our own individuality? We have learned to be our own selves, yet we learned to agree and disagree and like and dislike the many thoughts/ideas of others, we end up contradicting ourselves. The many Americans who are celebrating his death is making a huge mistake, when Al Qaeda is aware of this celebration, they might want to take a step forward and finish off what Bin Laden had planned and they might just take it to the next level.
So what is the number one thing that is preventing Peace? Why is it that we desire it so much and yet we don’t take action to what we really want? War is caused by disagreement; disagreement is caused by different views and selfishness. And yet we ask ourselves why it is that we cannot achieve our goals of World Peace? We were all created differently, we act differently, if our minds were created and formed as one, we would probably be living dull lives, but we would accomplish our goals of having world peace. The one thing that is preventing us from living in Peace is ourselves. We cannot live our lives as such if we keep battling everyday with ourselves, if we want to change others, we should change ourselves first.
